A Promise to Protect ~ Review

A Promise to Protect
Logan Point Book 2
By Patricia Bradley

Since the attack on Sheriff Tom took place Ben Logan has been acting sheriff.  He is determined to find out why someone attacked his father and why.  But with nothing to go on this may become a cold case.

But when there is a suddenly upswing in crime in Logan Point, Ben has to wonder is it aimed at discrediting him or is it related to Tony Jackson's murder.  Adding to the complexities of the case is Tony's sister (and Ben's old girlfriend) Doctor Leigh Somerall.

Tony's dying request was for Ben to keep Leigh safe - but Leigh is determined to stay as far away from Ben and the past as she can. But when the danger threatens her son Leigh just might have to accept Ben's offer of protection whether she wants to or not.

But there is more going on in Logan Point than anyone ever realized and as various cases all begin to have a common thread the danger grows.  And the promises of the past just may have a second chance especially if the truth is allowed to come out...

A Promise to Protect will keep you guessing as to the truth and the perpetrator's identity.  If you like romance and suspense wrapped up in an intriguing crime this is just the book for you.  A Promise to Protect is a book of second chances.  A second chance at love.  A second chance at forgiveness.  And a second chance at family.

I was provided a copy of this book by Revell through their blogging program in exchange for my honest review.

About the Book:
In a steamy small town riddled with broken promises, one woman's secret could change everything.

Acting Sheriff Ben Logan hasn't heard from Leigh Somerall in a very long time, but it doesn't mean he can get her--or their whirlwind romance of ten years ago--out of his head. When she calls out of the blue, it is with a strange request to protect her brother, Tony. But all too soon, Ben is charged with a different task--protecting Leigh from the people after her brother. With Leigh doing everything in her power to avoid Ben, it's no easy task. And the secret she is keeping just may change their lives forever.
